Platform issues kept me out of trades for the first 15-20 minutes. This is really starting to wear on me. Day trading is hard enough without issues like platform slowness. Fortunately, it came back online and everything was looking better. My first three trades were only recent big movers. They were actually high priced stocks. This is something I haven’t really been doing. Yes, I’ve taken one here or there but not all to start the day. They were setting up so I had to take them.
This afternoon got a little rough. I was able to take a few trades. Some were bad, one was a mistake while the big one I sloshed out way too early again. You can see what happened below and in the video. A bit better than yesterday, I ended up in the green.
Trades Taken
The day kicked off with a little ZM. I had a decent entry but once again sold too soon. I then got back in thinking this thing has legs. The break of the 160 level was amazing and I sold WAY TO EARLY again. By the end of the day, ZM ran up to 169 without any pain. It’s brutal to lose out on this.
ZM Profit and Loss = $56.94
I took TSLA with a small share size today on the break of the 732 level. I had some nice scale outs even though I was only trading 30 shares. To make what I did was pretty decent. I’ll take this trade every day. I’ll be looking to take a bigger share size soon.
TSLA Profit and Loss = $26.50
This was a quick pullback play with only 50 shares. It was a nice gain and great trade. The pullback only showed me .03 of pain before moving up a point in my favor. You can see how I scaled out in the image below. Pretty clean. I can do better.
ROKU Profit and Loss = $33.55
Fake meat was a monster today. I entered it a few times while leaving a ton out there. I need to really have more conviction in my selling. The defensive means are definitely starting to hold me back.
BYND Profit and Loss = $49.34
THMO was a call in the room that backfired immediately. I got out super fast with a small loss. I didn’t see the manipulation on level 2. I’m hoping to spot that sooner.
THMO Profit and Loss = $19.00
The mistake of the day. I was testing something on my platform only to realize I put in a buy order. Soon after I sold it to make sure I wouldn’t lose a lot. I ended up losing more than I had planned of course. What a waste.
TDOC Profit and Loss = $29.98
After the Platform issues and the mistake I made on TDOC, the day ended up being pretty good. I can honestly say today should have been over a $300 day based on my trades. Focus on better selling and everything will work out. This is obviously the hardest thing right now. It will come with time so I’m not worried.
